Bakfickan

Bakfickan Visby

In winter, the medieval Hanseatic town of Visby is atmospheric, tranquil, and cozy, the perfect location for a weekend break where the range of restaurants and cafés is almost as good as in the summer – and it’s far easier to book a table.

Champagne bars, high-class restaurants, charming cafés, and local design make Visby perfect for a relaxing weekend.

Here you will find design company G.A.D. and Nordic fashion at the H10 Market, open-plan office space at Rent a Desk and the delightful H10 bar and café that serves everything from lunch with wine to afternoon coffee with views over the pedestrianized Hästgatan.

It is in the best possible location, within a stone’s throw of Hästbacken Saluhall & Bar and other wonderful local restaurants nearby.

The menu is French-inspired with a Gotland twist in the form of local ingredients plus a wine and champagne bar that also serves oysters, cheese, and cold cuts.

Or the people: down-to-earth, hospitable folk who make the most of life.

Perhaps it’s the bustling street life in the walled city of Visby.

You’re welcome to discover and explore this one-of-a-kind island, or to rest.

The distances here are never far – between north and south, east and west, city and country… and between people.

Gotland is always close.
